Number field invariants (reviewed)

The basic invariants of a number field $K$ are:

• the degree $d$
• the signature $[r_1, r_2]$
• the discriminant $D$
• the ramified primes

If $K$ happens to be an abelian number field, then it has two additional invariants:

• the conductor
• the group of Dirichlet characters
