The database contains all genus 2 curves over Q that can defined by an integral equation of the form
y2+(h3x3+h2x2+h1x+h0)y=f6x6+f5x5+f4x4+f3x3+f2x2+f1x+f0,
with hi∈{0,1} and ∣fi∣≤90 and absolute discriminant ∣Δ∣≤106. As explained in [MR:3540958, arXiv:1602.03715], it also includes all genus 2 curves of absolute discriminant ∣Δ∣≤106 defined by an integral equation as above such that at least one of the following holds:
- hi∈{0,1} and ∣fi∣≤2(3.51)6−i for 0≤i≤6;
- hi∈{0,1} and ∣fi∣≤(7.13)4−∣i−3∣ for 0≤i≤6;
- hi∈{0,1} and ∑i=06⌈log10(∣fi∣+1)⌉≤10.
To date all known genus 2 curves of absolute discriminant ∣Δ∣≤106 have an integral model that satisfies these constraints, but it is heuristically likely that there exist curves that do not.
